In Runescape, you will attack enemies constantly. They’re all over the world in nearly every place. They all have names of course. They have a level like you, which can be seen in the top left if you hover the mouse over it

You can’t see it well in the top right, but it is there. Usually when you hover over an enemy, there will be (for example):

Attack Man (Level 2)/4 other options

The level is shown in green or red, green for lower than yours and red for higher. Yellow is exactly yours. The darker red, the higher, the bright green, the lower. The ‘3 other options’ can be seen by right clicking on the man. One option is ‘Attack’, another is ‘Talk’, another is ‘Pickpocket’, ‘Examine’ and the final one is Walk Here. That’s 5 options but it’s 4 other options to Attack. Attack obviously makes your character attack the opponent. Talk is only for some enemies, such as men. Pickpocket is again only for some enemies, and is Members Only. You steal 3 coins from Men. Examine says something like ‘one of the many citizens of Runescape’ in your chat bar. You can examine all objects, not just enemies. Walk here makes you walk there. This is what happens after you click on each:

Talk to makes your character have an animated conversation.

Attacking an enemy is what we’re here about. When you attack an enemy, you will fight it. You watch your character do it, eating food sometimes if you wish or running for your life if you’re dying. Usually left-clicking on an enemy makes you attack it, but if it’s higher level than you by a bit, most enemies will require a right-click before you can attack it. This is to stop accidental attacking and dying.
